Sting and Trudie Styler Reflect on Growing Old Together
The couple has been married for 24 years.
-- For Sting, it's not the millions of records he's sold that makes him the most proud. It's his family.
"That is a sign of real wealth," the rocker told People magazine. "The kids laughing and running around, that is life. As they say in Italy: 'La Bella Vita.'"
Sting, 64, and his wife of 24 years, Trudie Styler, are now adjusting to life as grandparents. The couple has four grandchildren with two more on the way.
They're even coming to terms with being empty nesters after raising six children, including two kids from Sting's previous marriage.
Still, Styler, 62, said the entire family gets together annually for wine and pizza night at Sting's vacation home, called the Il Palagio estate, in Tuscany.
"No sooner was the nest empty than they all came back again!" Styler said. "It is fundamental for us to see each other."
Styler added that the two really appreciate the life they've built together over two decades.
"We are getting older but there's a certain beauty to getting older. And to do so with my soulmate, it opens you up to not being afraid of anything," she explained in the magazine. "I feel like we're still on a beautiful adventure together."
