There is nothing like a mother's love, and on the biggest night of their lives sometimes even celebrities just need their moms.

Throughout the years, several Oscar nominees have walked arm-in-arm down the red carpet with their moms before they found out if they would be taking home an Academy Award.

Here are a few of the nominees whose love for their mom melted our hearts at the Oscars. Mom, FTW!

Leonardo DiCaprio

Leonardo DiCaprio escorted his mom, Irmelin Indenbirken, to the Oscars in 2014 when he was nominated as best actor for his performance in "Wolf of Wall Street."

Matt Damon and Ben Affleck

Best friends Matt Damon and Ben Affleck, just 28 and 26 at the time, brought their moms, Nancy Carlsson-Paige and Christine Bolt, to the Oscars in 1998. The two went on to win the Academy Award for best original screenplay for "Good Will Hunting."

Bradley Cooper

Bradley Cooper escorted his mom, Gloria Campano Cooper, to the Oscars in 2014 when he was nominated for best supporting actor for his performance in "American Hustle."

Charlize Theron

Charlize Theron stepped out with her mother, Gerda Jacoba Aletta Maritz, in 2004 when she was nominated as best actress for her role as real-life serial killer Aileen Wuornos in "Monster." Theron later won the award, and hugged her mom before walking to the stage to make her tearful speech.

Clint Eastwood

Clint Eastwood brought his 95-year-old mother, Ruth Wood, to the Oscars with him in 2004, when he was nominated for best director for "Mystic River."

Common

Common brought his mother, Mahalia Ann Hines, to the 2015 Oscars, where he was nominated for best original song with "Glory" from the movie "Selma." He later won the award alongside John Legend.

Dev Patel

Dev Patel and his mom, Anita Patel, hit the red carpet for the 2017 Oscars, when he was nominated for best actor for his performance in "Lion." Patel didn't end up winning the award, but him and his mom did win the internet. Twitter was buzzing with how cute the duo was, and how much they loved his mom's traditional black sari.

Jared Leto

Jared Leto escorted his mother, Constance Leto, and also his brother Shannon Leto, to the Oscars in 2014. Leto was nominated and later went on to win best supporting actor for his role in "Dallas Buyers Club."

Javier Bardem

Javier Bardem showed his mom a lot of love on the Oscars red carpet in 2008, when he was nominated and later won best supporting actor for his role in "No Country for Old Men."

Jennifer Lawrence

Jennifer Lawrence escorted both of her parents to the Oscars, which obviously includes her mother, Karen Lawrence, in 2013. She was nominated and later won the Oscar for best actress for her performance in "Silver Linings Playbook." She also tripped up the stairs, and became a timeless meme for years to come.

Joaquin Phoenix

Joaquin Phoenix escorted his mother, Arlyn Phoenix, to the Oscars in 2001 when he was nominated as best supporting actor for his performance in "Gladiator."

Jonah Hill

Jonah Hill brought his mother, Sharon Lyn Chalkin, to the Oscars in 2012, when he was nominated for his first Academy Award as best supporting actor in "Moneyball."

Jude Law

Jude Law walked down the Oscars red carpet with his mother, Maggie Law, in 2004. Law was nominated that year for best actor for his performance in "Cold Mountain."

Natalie Portman took her mom, Shelley Stevens, to the Oscars in 2005 when she was nominated for her first Academy Award for her performance in the film "Closer."

Taraji P. Henson

Taraji P. Henson had both arms full when she took her mom, Bernice, and grandmother, Patsy, to the Oscars in 2009. Henson was nominated for best supporting actress for her role in "The Curious Case of Benjamin Button."
