Princess Charlotte will start school at Thomas's Battersea this fall

Kensington Palace made the princess' school announcement on Friday.

Prince George will have an extra carpool mate this fall.

Thomas's Battersea has around 550 students from a variety of backgrounds. The school teaches a range of traditional subjects, along with ballet, art, drama, French, music and physical education.

Thomas's Battersea's most important rule is "be kind," the school notes on its website.

Prince George, 5, started at the school, where he is known as George Cambridge, in September 2017.

Charlotte, 4, will be known at Thomas's Battersea as Charlotte Cambridge. Charlotte previously attended Willcocks Nursery School, also in London.

The only daughter of Prince William and Kate has developed a reputation as a fun and spirited member of Britain's royal family.

She was seen running with a flower in hand and sitting on a fence in a dress in photos released earlier this month for her fourth birthday.

When Kate and William brought their kids to Kate's display at the Chelsea Flower Show this week, Charlotte ran in the garden, jumping on a swing and dangling her bare feet in the water with George.

In appearances with the royal family, Charlotte has become legendary for giving a wave, or a look, to gathered crowds.
