Taylor Hanson and wife expecting 7th child: 'Biggest little surprise in a long time'
The singer called the news "the best kind of unexpected."
The Hanson family is expanding.
Taylor Hanson and his wife, Natalie, are expecting their seventh child, they announced Tuesday on Instagram.
The couple did not share a due date or the sex of the the baby.
"The best kind of unexpected. Number seven coming this December. #2020," Taylor Hanson wrote.
Added Natalie Hanson in a post of her own: "Biggest little surprise in a long time. baby number seven coming this December."
Taylor Hanson, 37, who became famous in the 1990s for crooning the hit "MMMBop" alongside his brothers in the band Hanson, married Natalie Hanson, 36, in 2002. A few months later, the couple welcomed their first child, son Jordan Ezra.
Five more children followed: Penelope Anne, 15, River Samuel, 14, Viggo Moriah, 11, Wilhelmina Jane, 7, and Claude Indiana Emmanuel, 20 months. In a statement provided to People, Taylor Hanson said that his brood was looking forward to meeting the new addition.
"Our family is thrilled to be welcoming a new member later this year. More than ever, we are especially grateful for this fresh wave of joy," he said.
