Starbucks introduces a new fall drink. Will it be more popular than the Pumpkin Spice Latte?
Maybe there's room for two fall-inspired drinks.
It may still be summertime, but the Pumpkin Spice Latte is back at Starbucks.
But this year, there’s a new fall-inspired beverage on the menu: the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew.
Three years ago, I tried my very first Pumpkin Spice Latte and let me tell you, it was life-changing.
Now, Pumpkin Spice Latte season is probably my favorite season, but I was so pumped to give the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew a try.
At first glance, the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew looks like a regular cold brew topped with foam. But it’s actually Starbucks’ own unique pumpkin cream cold foam, which sits atop the blend of Starbucks Cold Brew and vanilla, with a dusting of pumpkin spice on top.
After my first sip, I thought it tasted like a regular Pumpkin Spice Latte with the creamy, rich feel of the pumpkin cream cold foam. But mixed with the cold brew, it had a smooth taste.
There’s a nutty and sweet flavor to it, similar to a Pumpkin Spice Latte and it definitely reminds me of fall.
Personally, since I have a bigger sweet tooth, I’d opt for the traditional Pumpkin Spice Latte, my favorite seasonal drink at Starbucks, but it puts me right in the mood for the leaves to change color and the temperatures to drop.
But for those who don’t have a big sweet tooth, the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew is heaven for cold coffee lovers.
If nothing else, as Starbucks’ first pumpkin-flavored drink in 16 years since the Pumpkin Spice Latte made its debut, the Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew is worth a try and might just become your new fall favorite.
