Hear What Kids Think of Parents' Time on Mobile Devices
Their responses might make you think twice before picking up your phone.
-- The debate about how much time kids should spend on mobile devices is an ongoing one that has received plenty of media coverage, parental debate and expert weigh-in.
But far less attention has been paid to how much time parents should spend on mobile devices, especially in the company of their children. So one British kid's shoe company decided to go straight to the source -- kids themselves -- to find out how it made them feel when their parents spent time on their gadgets.
Start-rite Shoes is hoping parents and kids alike will put away the devices before the summer's over and get back to spending time together.
The video will certainly give parents pause the next time they reach for their cellphone. "My mom spends all day on her computer and I feel sad because I don't get to play with her on a board game or something," one little girl says.
A little boy says, "It makes me feel like they don't care about us because they are just on their phones."
