All the Executive Actions Donald Trump Has Issued So Far

— -- It’s been a busy first couple weeks for President Donald Trump. The 45th president has signed a flurry of executive actions -- seven executive orders, 11 presidential memorandums and two presidential proclamations in total.

Here are all the presidential directives Trump has signed since Inauguration Day:

Executive Orders

“Protecting the Nation From Foreign Terrorist Entry Into the United States” suspends the U.S. Refugee Admissions Program (USRAP) for 120 days and immigration from countries with ties to terror, including Syria, Yemen, Sudan, Somalia, Iraq, Iran and Libya, for a period of 90 days. “I hereby proclaim that the entry of nationals of Syria as refugees is detrimental to the interests of the United States and thus suspend any such entry until such time as I have determined that sufficient changes have been made to the USRAP to ensure that admission of Syrian refugees is consistent with the national interest,” the executive order states. It also halts the issuing of visas and other immigration benefits to people from countries of "particular concern" and caps the entry of refugees in 2017 at 50,000. “Upon the resumption of USRAP admissions,” priority will be given to refugees fleeing from religious-based persecution, “provided that the religion of the individual is a minority religion in the individual's country of nationality.” (1/27/16)

“Border Security and Immigration Enforcement Improvements” sets in the motion the wall Trump promised he would build along the U.S-Mexico border. This order also brings an end to the “catch and release” policy, which temporarily releases some undocumented immigrants due to limited detention space. (1/25/17)

“Enhancing Public Safety in the Interior of the United States” calls for the removal of undocumented immigrants who’ve been convicted of a criminal offense, charged with a criminal offense (where the charge hasn’t been resolved), committed acts that “constitute a chargeable criminal offense” or “in the judgment of an immigration officer, otherwise pose a risk to public safety or national security.” It also orders that federal grant money be stripped from “sanctuary cities,” cities willing to defy federal immigration laws so as to protect undocumented immigrants. “Executive Order Minimizing the Economic Burden of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act Pending Repeal” aims at rolling back the Affordable Care Act, otherwise referred to as Obamacare. (1/20/17)

"Expediting Environmental Reviews and Approvals for High-Priority Infrastructure Projects" pushes for streamlining and expediting, "in a manner consistent with law, environmental reviews and approvals for all infrastructure projects, especially projects that are a high priority for the Nation." "Ethics Commitments by Executive Branch Appointees" establishes a five-year lobbying ban for administration officials and a lifetime ban on lobbying for a foreign government. (1/28/17)

"Reducing Regulation and Controlling Regulatory Costs" orders that for every new regulation implemented by federal agencies, two existing regulations must be cut to offset the cost. (1/30/17)

Presidential Memorandums

Presidential Memorandum Organization of the National Security Council and the Homeland Security Council - Each new president issues a similar memo restructuring the NSC. Part of the memo includes that Stephen Bannon, assistant to the president and chief strategist, is a regular attendee at the NSC's principals committee meetings, while the director of National Intelligence and the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff only "attend where issues pertaining to their responsibilities and expertise are to be discussed." Presidential Memorandum Plan to Defeat the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria - "Within 30 days, a preliminary draft of the Plan to defeat ISIS shall be submitted to the President by the Secretary of Defense," the memo reads. The plan needs to include "cyber strategies" to fight ISIS and determining "mechanisms" to cut off ISIS's financial support. (1/28/17)

Presidential Memorandum on Rebuilding the U.S. Armed Forces - Instructs the defense secretary and the Office of Management and Budget director to conduct several reviews aimed at rebuilding the U.S. military. (1/27/17)

Presidential Memorandum Regarding Construction of the Keystone XL Pipeline - Invites TransCanada Keystone Pipeline to resubmit its application to build the pipeline that would import petroleum from Canada to U.S. The Secretary of State (if confirmed, would be Rex Tillerson) then has 60 days after the application is submitted to decide whether to issue a permit. Presidential Memorandum Regarding Construction of the Dakota Access Pipeline - Order the review and approval of the pipeline in an "expedited manner." (1/24/17)

Presidential Memorandum Streamlining Permitting and Reducing Regulatory Burdens for Domestic Manufacturing - Directs the commerce secretary to “submit a report recommending how best to streamline manufacturing permitting” and “to reach out to manufacturers and the public to identify regulations that are hurting them from moving forward," according to White House press secretary Sean Spicer. Presidential Memorandum Regarding Construction of American Pipelines - Directs the commerce secretary to lead a study looking into building the Keystone XL, Dakota Access and future pipelines with steel, pipes and accessories made in the U.S. (1/24/17)

Presidential Memorandum Regarding Withdrawal of the United States from the Trans-Pacific Partnership Negotiations and Agreement - Withdraw the U.S. from the Trans-Pacific Partnership negotiations. (1/23/17)

Presidential Memorandum Regarding the Hiring Freeze - Hiring freeze for federal workers, except for the military. (1/23/17)

Presidential Memorandum Regarding the Mexico City Policy - Reinstates a policy that prohibits federal funding to nongovernment organizations that promote or perform abortions. Since the policy was announced in 1984 by President Ronald Reagan, it has been revoked by every Democratic president only to be reinstated by their Republican successor. (1/23/17)

Presidential Proclamations

"National School Choice Week" - Proclaims Jan. 22 through Jan. 28, 2017, as National School Choice Week. (1/26/17)

"National Day of Patriotism" - In keeping with a past tradition, Trump symbolically designated his Inauguration Day as a "National Day of Patriotic Devotion." President Obama proclaimed his 2009 Inauguration Day a "National Day of Reconciliation and Renewal." President George W. Bush proclaimed his 2001 Inauguration Day as a "National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving." (1/20/17)
