Rio Olympics 2016: Ashton Eaton Goes for 2nd Olympic Decathlon Gold, Women's Boxing Underway

World record holder Usain Bolt is also set to run 200 meter semifinals today.

— -- Day 12 of the Olympic Games in Rio is underway, after a very exciting Tuesday for Team USA.

Track and Field

The women's 200 meter dash is scheduled for 9:30 p.m., with Tori Bowie and Deajah Stevens representing Team USA. Bowie took home a silver medal in the 100 meter sprint.

The women's 100 meter hurdles finals is also tonight, at 9:55, with the semifinals kicking off at 7:45. Brianna Rollins, Nia Ali and Kristi Castlin will be representing the U.S.

The decathlon kicked off this morning, with Ashton Eaton of Team USA vying to win his second Olympic gold medal for the event, after taking home gold in London.

Volleyball

The U.S. men's volleyball team will face Poland in the quarterfinals this afternoon at 1:00.

Boxing

Claressa Shields will fight for the first time in the tournament this afternoon at 1:30. Shes won gold in London and is the favorite to take home gold in Rio. She won two world championships and has been undefeated since London. She will fight Yaroslava Yakushina of Russia this afternoon.

Basketball

The U.S. men's basketball team will face off against Argentina in the quarterfinals at 5:45 p.m.

In other Olympic news, the host nation will cheer on its beloved soccer team at noon today, when Brazil takes on Honduras in the semifinals.
