Patriots loyalists react with anger while rival fans responded with humor.
-- Football fans were divided over NFL's four-game suspension of Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, especially in rival cities Boston and New York City, taking to social media to show their support for or blast the quarterback.
During the press conference today, Pats coach Bill Belichick kept his comments very brief, focusing on the fact that the Patriots are preparing for the future football season.
The team's owner Robert Kraft said, "I continue to believe and unequivocally support Tom Brady" and called the league's decision "unfathomable."
Patriots fans are reacting with outrage. More than 7,250 people have signed a petition to boycott the first half of the Patriots' first game of the season.
Brady has denied that he knew about the alleged use of deflated footballs during the AFC championship against the Indianapolis Colts. The Pats won 45-7 at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts, leading to their eighth Super Bowl appearance.
