Black Friday 2015: Best Tech Deals We've Seen So Far
Retailers are slashing prices on gaming, wearables, giants TVs.
-- Black Friday -- one of the most frenzied shopping days of the year -- is just a few days away and retailers are already rolling out some of their best deals.
Big ticket electronics items have traditionally been a huge draw to get shoppers in the door and ready to spend money. Here's a running list of some of the best deals on technology for Black Friday 2015 to help you get a jump start on plotting your shopping strategy.
iPhones
People who purchased Apple's iPhone 6s/6s Plus at Target, along with an installment plan, get their deal sweetened with a $250 Target gift card.
Gift Cards
A discount on a gift card? You better believe it. Best Buy is offering iTunes gift cards for buy one, get one 40 percent off.
Gaming
Microsoft is offering the Xbox One for $299, along with $50 off holiday bundles including Xbox One Limited Edition "Halo 5: Guardians" Bundle for $449 and the Xbox One Elite Bundle $449.
Copies of "Madden NFL 16" for both Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 4 are a steal at Walmart for $28 (regular price $59.99). The retailer posted a "dare to compare" circular online showing how its prices beat other retailers and is already offering online deals.
Televisions
Best Buy opens at 5 p.m. on Thanksgiving. Doors close Friday at 1 a.m. and re-open Friday at 8 a.m. Among the door busters are a 4K 60-inch Samsung TV for $799.99 (regular price $1,499.99). A Toshiba 49-inch HDTV is being offering for $149.99 (regular price $429.99).
Target is kicking off the holiday shopping frenzy at 6 p.m. on Thursday. One of the advertised door busters: 25 percent off all Apple TV devices.
Wearables
Target hasn't slashed the price on the Apple Watch, which still starts at $349, however the retailer is sweetening the deal by offering a $100 gift card to anyone who purchases the wearable device between Nov. 26 and 28 while supplies last.
Beginning today, Amazon is adding new deals added as often as every five minutes for eight straight days. One of the hottest deals being teased: The Jawbone UP3 fitness and sleep monitor for $99 (list price $179.99). Different deals will be available at various times throughout the week, meaning bargain hungry shoppers will need to check back frequently.
Tablets, Laptops and E-Readers
Walmart has slashed the price on Apple’s iPad Mini 2, offering a 16 GB version of the tablet for $199.
Beginning next Wednesday at 9 p.m. ET, Microsoft and its retail partners will offer up to $200 in savings off the Surface Pro 3, the tablet-laptop hybrid released last year to rave reviews. (The Microsoft Store currently lists the device for $699.)
Target is offering a 9.7-inch Samsung Galaxy tablet for $229.99 (regular price $299.99) along with a bonus $30 gift card. The entry level Polaroid Quad-Core Tablet with a Bluetooth keyboard has been slashed to $49.99 (regular price $79.99). Apple fans can snag an new iPad Air at Target starting at $399, with a bonus $100 Target gift card given after purchase. Target is offering the same deal on the iPad Mini 2, which starts at $269 and comes with an $80 gift card.
Amazon also teased deals on its Kindles, the Kindle Paperwhite for $99.99 and $30 off a Kindle for Kids Bundle.
Staples' Black Friday deals begin online on Thanksgiving and continue in stores beginning Friday at 6 a.m. The retailer is offering a Toshiba i3 notebook with Windows 10 for $299 (regular price $499). Some drones regularly priced between $39.99 and $99.99 are being sold at a 15 percent discount.
