Stanley Cup Passes Through Airport Security on Way to Chicago
The famed trophy made its way to Chicago.
-- Even the Stanley Cup doesn’t get a free pass when it comes to airport security.
The famed trophy was on its way to Chicago for tonight’s game and keeper of the cup, Philip Pritchard, tweeted a new view of the NHL trophy.
Don’t worry about the Stanley Cup -- it passed through the X-ray machine and made it safely to its hotel room, with Pritchard and the Conn Smythe Trophy by its side.

Pritchard has been by the Stanley Cup’s side for 27 years and wrote in The Player’s Tribune he thinks he’s seen more than 15,000 cans of beer poured into the trophy.
The Chicago Blackhawks lead the series 3-2 against the Tampa Bay Lightning.
