1st look inside Rihanna's new book with never-before-seen photos
The singer has been working on the project for over 5 years.
Rihanna fans, rejoice!
"Good Morning America" has your first look at the singer's self-titled 504-page "visual autobiography," which documents the singer's life as a performer and some of the most memorable moments from her illustrious career.
The $150 book, out Thursday, features 1,050 color images and 11 special inserts.
"I am so excited to share this collection of incredible images," Rihanna said in a statement at the time of announcement of the book. "I'm very grateful to the talented photographers and artists who contributed. We've been working on the book for over five years and I'm really happy to be able to finally share it with everybody."
In some of the intimate snaps featured in the 15-pound book, the singer can be seen hanging with family and friends. One sweet photo in particular shows Rihanna backstage having a moment with her mother before a performance.
Deb Aaronson, vice president, Group Publisher at Phaidon Press, the book's publisher, said the singer was heavily integrated in the creative process of the book.
"She was involved in every single decision that was made about the book," Aaronson revealed. "She really wanted the book to be personal, to be intimate -- and to be really representative, as much as it can, of her personal life and what her journey is like."
