Blake Shelton says Gwen Stefani is 'the most encouraging person I've ever had in my life'
Shelton spoke about marriage rumors with Gwen Stefani.
Blake Shelton might be shooting down rumors that him and Gwen Stefani are tying the knot soon, but he does say that their relationship "gets stronger every day."
In an interview with ET, the country singer addressed speculation that the duo, who have reportedly been dating since 2015, will marry anytime soon.
"The rumors stuff, I'm not gonna sit here and say that it makes me mad," he told the outlet. "It's funny. I've learned over the years just to take that for what it is."
On his years-long relationship with Stefani, Shelton said, "Obviously, that's gotta lead somewhere," but ensured that a potential wedding announcement wouldn't be unveiled "in any of the grocery store trash magazine."
Describing the singer as "the most encouraging person I've ever had in my life, on any level," Shelton also shared a unique factor he loves about her.
"I tell her this all the time, and she doesn't realize it, but Gwen's one of these people that I learn so much from ... she has a way of looking at something from every angle possible, and understanding if there's turmoil or something going on -- instead of just jumping to conclusions or reacting -- it's, 'Well, here's why they may feel that way,'" he told ET.
Stefani seems to share the same feelings. She spoke about her close relationship with Shelton to "Good Morning America" in June 2018.
"He's my homeboy. He's my homey. He's just really an amazing all-around human so I feel so grateful for that," she said.
"He's inspired me so much," she added. "He's changed my life."
