'DWTS' pro Jenna Johnson shares video of moment she told husband Val Chmerkovskiy she was pregnant

"Dancing with the Stars" pro Jenna Johnson recently posted a video of the special moment when she told her husband Val Chmerkovskiy that she was pregnant with their first child.

The video, shared on Instagram, captures Chmerkovskiy's shocked and overjoyed reaction to the news.

"I wanted to tell him in a way that he wasn't going to expect it," Johnson said in a YouTube video explaining more about the reveal. "I really wanted him to be shocked."

After first finding out she was pregnant, she said she told her sisters the news and then devised a plan to surprise Val that night.

"I went to store and I got these little white [Nike] Air Force 1s, and then I put four pregnancy tests in this box -- but I put it in a Nike box that was in his size," she explained. "I wanted to do this so it didn't look so suspicious or anything."

In the clip, Chmerkovskiy opens the shoe box, finds the baby sneakers and pregnancy tests, and says, "Oh my god, are you serious?"

The couple then embraces, with Val telling their dog, "You're gonna be a sister!"

"That was one of the best nights of my life," Johnson said. "After I think it sank in and hit both of us that, omg, this is happening, we're pregnant -- it was just the best."

"We couldn't stop talking about it, we couldn't stop thinking about it," she added. "It was just amazing."

The couple, who married in April 2019, first announced their pregnancy news on Instagram back in July.

"Our biggest dream come true yet," Johnson captioned the announcement. "Baby Chmerkovskiy coming this January! My heart has grown beyond comprehension while growing this little miracle inside of me. We can’t wait to meet our precious angel."
