Taylor Swift just tied this record by Michael Jackson with her latest album
Swift has a total of 51 weeks in the top spot thanks to her album "evermore."
Taylor Swift is now tied with Michael Jackson for total weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart.
Thanks to Swift's recently released album, "Evermore" -- and including her eight other chart-topping albums -- she now has a total of 51 weeks in the top spot.
This places her alongside the King of Pop for fourth-most weeks at No. 1, according to the publication.
Ahead of the superstars are Garth Brooks, with 52 weeks at No. 1, Elvis Presley with 67, and The Beatles, with an impressive 132 weeks.
"Evermore," which was released on Dec. 11, secured its first two weeks atop the Billboard 200 albums chart for charts dated Dec. 26 and Jan. 2, before dipping to the No. 2 spot for the Jan. 9 chart.
It then rose to the top again for the chart dated Jan. 16, marking its third nonconsecutive week in that position.
"Evermore" is the second of two surprise albums Swift dropped in 2020.
Five months prior, Swift dropped "Folklore," which captured the No. 1 spot on multiple Billboard charts, becoming the top-selling album of the year and breaking more records.
Swift has had the top-selling album of the year five times, according to MRC Data.
