Davis was honored with the Chaplin Award at the star-studded event.
Viola Davis was honored Monday night at the 48th annual Chaplin Award Gala, and a few of her A-list friends showed up to support her.
The EGOT winner's career as an actress and producer was celebrated at the star-studded event at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall in New York City, during which she was awarded the coveted Chaplin Award.
Joining Davis, 57, for the evening included the likes of Meryl Streep, who co-starred with Davis in 2008's "Doubt," and Jessica Chastain, who co-starred with Davis in 2011's "The Help."
The "How to Get Away with Murder" alum wore a black dress accented with gold fringe for the occasion, while Streep rocked a black pantsuit and Chastain wore a black dress with colorful and sparkly embellishments.
Davis earned her first two Academy Award nominations for "Doubt" and "The Help," ultimately going on to win her first Oscar for 2016's "Fences."
The "Air" star was also supported by her longtime husband Julius Tennon, whom she married in 2003.
Some of Davis' past directors also showed up to honor her, including Steve McQueen, who directed Davis in 2018's "Widows," George C. Wolfe, who directed Davis in 2020's "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom," and Gina Prince-Bythewood, who directed Davis in 2022's "The Woman King."
