5 girls, born 2 weeks apart, have adorable annual photo shoot tradition
"The craziest coincidence turned into the coolest thing."
Five pint-size girls who were born within two weeks of one another are sharing in the sweetest annual photo tradition.
Aurora, Olive, Haven, Lyla and Aubrey pose together once a year to celebrate their friendship.
Alex Bolen, mom to Haven and owner of Shutter Darling Photography, LLC in Missouri, has been photographing the now 3-year-olds since they were 3 months old.
Bolen told "Good Morning America" she and the girls' mothers have been friends for years.
"A few of them I grew up with and then one or two were clients turned friends," Bolen said. "When we started having babies, we all had them within a few weeks of each other."
Aurora, Olive, Haven, Lyla and Aubrey were born from Feb. 27 to March 13, with Haven and Olive sharing the same birthday, March 2.
Their past photo shoot themes include princesses, Christmas pajamas, sequins and, this year, the 1960s.
"When Alex approached me for the first time with her idea, I remember thinking how cute and creative it was," Olive's mom, Jamie Page told "GMA." "Not only has it given my daughter four best friends ... it's given me four amazing mom friends."
The five mothers and their girls hope to continue their photo sessions as they grow together.
"The craziest coincidence turned into the coolest thing," Aubrey's mom Sami Gigax told "GMA."
"Not only does Aubrey get to strut her stuff for the camera ... but she's made lifelong friends out of this," she said.
