We love these Christmas family photo fails
It's a miracle to get the kids to smile with Santa.
The countdown to Christmas is on and we all know it can be impossible to get that perfect family photo where the kids are smiling and everyone's eyes are open.
Not to mention the kids smiling while with Santa.
Parents sent in their best family holiday photo outtakes and the results are pretty hysterical.
Melissa of Texas shared this Santa photo with her 2-year-old and 1-year-old not having it while posing with St. Nick. "This was the best we got..." she wrote.
Hayley Clark of Alabama sent "Good Morning America" this gem with Santa Claus.
Mom Kristina Harrill sent this photo with the caption: "SANTAAAAAAA!!! I (don't) know him!"
Leeza Klimetz of Georgia said her "little guy was not a fan" of this Santa.
Mary Shierly of New York sent "GMA" this photo of a not-so-perfect photo opp.
So, how do you nail a Christmas card photo?
New York City-based photographer Karen Haberger told "GMA" there are some things parents can do to help, and some things parents just have to let go of.
"One [tip] is that I would make sure that [your kids] have eaten and that they're rested," she said. "Preparing your kids and also prepare yourself. Even if the photo doesn't come out perfectly or what you had envisioned, it might still be a great holiday photo."
"GMA" viewers also weighed in with their tips for getting kids to smile with Santa Claus.
The most common suggestions were to bribe kids with candy and cookies, to play the popular kids' song "Baby Shark" and one parent even suggested standing on your head.
Whatever works for a keepsake photo with Santa!
