July 27, 2012— -- Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson may not survive as a couple following her confession that she cheated on him with a much older man, but come November, they have a movie to promote, the final installment of the "Twilight" series.

"That's a long way from now -- years in terms of this story," Us Weekly's senior editor Bradley Jacobs told ABC News. "There could be a lot of changes until then."

The latest is a report from People that Pattinson, 26, has moved out of the Los Angeles home he shared with Stewart, 22, and is in seclusion.

A source told the magazine Thursday that Pattinson is "heartbroken and angry," adding, "I'm not sure they'll be able to recover from this."

The show, however, will go on.

"They're going to have to promote this film around the world, so they need to stay at least on cordial terms," Jacobs said about the couple who met on the set of first "Twilight" film four years ago. "I'm sure they will both breathe a huge sigh of relief when the movie comes and goes. But until then, they're going to be very stressed out."

Appearing in public Thursday for the first time since issuing a public apology to her boyfriend of three years, Stewart wore tattered gym shorts and a T-shirt and appeared to have dark circles under her eyes.

In a groveling mea culpa Wednesday, Stewart claimed responsibility for Pattinson's heartbreak after cheating on him with her "Snow White and the Huntsman" director, Rupert Sanders.

"This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry," she said in a statement to People Wednesday.

"Kristen really loves Rob more than anything," an insider told People Thursday. "He's all that matters to her right now."

Sanders, 41, a father of two who is married to model Liberty Ross -- ironically she played Stewart's mom in "Snow White" -- issued an apology soon after Stewart's.

"I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family," Sanders said in a statement to People Wednesday. "My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together."

While many "Twilight" fans have taken to Twitter to express their shock and disappointment, as well as offer their condolences to Pattinson, Jacobs believes they will still turn up at the box office this fall.

"A lot of them may wish they didn't know about this scandal," he said. "But they really want to see this movie no matter what. I don't think the box office will be hurt."

As for Stewart's career, Jacobs believes there will definitely be an impact for having an affair with a married man 19 years her senior.

"It's one of the key moments of her career, besides getting the 'Twilight' gig," Jacobs said. "But she is still young and it's very early in her career. You might call it an early indiscretion. Look at Angelina Jolie. At that age, she was cruising around town with Billy Bob Thornton's blood in a vial and kissing her brother."

"Certainly you can't really buy her as some innocent on screen anymore," Jacobs said about Stewart. "But she was never really an ingenue anyway. She's always been an old soul in a young woman's body."
