Kordestani has an impressive resume, having worked at tech giants such as Netscape and Google, but he rarely used the service until he was officially named chairman Wednesday.
In the 24 hours since it was announced that Kordestani would leave Google for Twitter, he's at least showing his excitement in the right place, posting a series of tweets about his new gig.

Jack Dorsey, who took over as permanent CEO last week, tweeted a welcome to Kordestani Wednesday, writing: "Omid is a proven & experienced leader, who will directly help & coach me and our leadership, and help us recruit the best folks to Twitter."
