— -- Two days ahead of its release, Adele's upcoming album "25" is one of the most highly anticipated releases of the year. However, the Grammy award-winning singer revealed that she is just hoping the album lives up to the hype.

In an interview with Graham Norton for the BBC Music special, "Adele at the BBC," the 27-year-old singer revealed that her biggest concern about her forthcoming third album is if it will be comparable to her previous record-breaking album, "21."

"Every album I'm ever going to write is always going to be following '21,'" said Adele. "My fifth album from now will follow '21.' There's nothing I can do about it."

Adele revealed that the success of "21," which won her six Grammy awards in 2012 and was just named the "greatest album of all time" by Billboard, was so overwhelming that the singer almost considered retiring from music for good.

"I just got really worried that I was never going to make anything that anyone liked again," Adele said.

"I started to wonder if '21,' being so successful, was enough for everyone. But I realized it wasn't enough for me. So, sorry, I'm here to make your ears bleed again," she continued.

While Adele's "21" was a self-described "break-up record" album, the singer called "25" her "make-up record," as it focuses on her transition into adulthood with songs that portray her reflections on the past, and "getting to know who I've become without realizing." The BBC described the theme of "25" to be an "uneasy acceptance of adulthood."

In addition to Adele's record-breaking hit "Hello," and her newest single, "When We Were Young," for which the star recently released a live performance video, fans should prepare for emotional lyrics, powerful anthems, and of course, the spectacular vocals that have captured the attention of fans from around the world.

Adele's "25" will be released on Friday, Nov. 20.
