Jimmy Fallon to Host the 74th Annual Golden Globes

The "Tonight Show" host will take on the award show this January.

— -- "Tonight Show" host Jimmy Fallon is about to take on an even bigger stage.

The SNL alum will be kicking off the award season as host of the Golden Globe Awards, ABC News has confirmed.

The annual awards show will air live on NBC Sunday, Jan. 8.

"I'm so excited to be hosting The Golden Globes in January," Fallon tweeted after the announcement.

Nominations will be announced Monday, Dec. 12.
