Star Jon Hamm, who plays Don Draper, isn't exactly looking forward to it.

Time Goes Inside Final Season of 'Mad Men'

"We've been a very tight cast and crew and family for a long time, so it's going to certainly be sad to see that end," he told to E! News. "It's kind of off in the distance. I think maybe once it gets on the air and we start shooting these last seven [episodes], it might sink in a little bit more."

However, even the actor, 41, isn't sure how it will end.

And because the the AMC drama is so famous for its plot twists, he doesn't even want to venture a guess on what will happen to the characters.

"Whenever I try and guess what [creator Matthew Weiner] is going to do I inevitably end up embarrassing myself," he said. "I really haven't, but I've trusted Matt for almost eight years now and over seven seasons and I think that trust has been fairly well-founded."
