Bebe Rexha stuns in red Grammys gown after being called 'too big' to dress: 'I just want other girls to love their bodies'
Bebe Rexha sent a message to women about body image at the Grammys.
Bebe Rexha wore a red, layered tulle gown to the 61st Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday and made a statement about body inclusivity.

The 29-year-old singer, who is nominated for 2 Grammy awards for best new artist and best country duo/group performance for her hit single, "Meant To Be," revealed in an Instagram video last month that designers were refusing to dress her because of her size.
After sharing the powerful video, several designers, including August Getty Atelier and Christian Siriano, reached out to offer to dress Rexha.
Rexha explained her initial reaction to hearing designers weren't accepting of her size to E! before the big show.
"I was in the studio one day, and one of my friends called me, he's a stylist, and he told me that a lot of designers -- we couldn't get them because I didn't fit in the show sizes, which is a 0 and 2," she said. "I was really upset, and I decided to make a video."
She told Ryan Seacrest about the reaction and support she's received from her video. "It's been amazing. I didn't expect it."
"I just did the video because I was really heartbroken. It bummed me out," she continued. "They said I was too big or fat -- and I love my body. I just want other girls to love their bodies."
"I had Jeremy Scott, Moschino, Christian Siriano, Karl Lagerfeld hit me up," she said on the designers who reached out to offer assistance. "I was like 'this is amazing.'"
Rexha also revealed that some of the designers who had refused to offer designs to her before she posted the video reached out to her after -- but wouldn't name any of them.
"I'm okay. I don't get angry with people, but I just want to work with people who love me for me," she added.
Rexha also wore a custom August Getty Atelier-look to Clive Davis' pre-Grammy Awards Party Saturday night.
She praised Getty for his inclusivity in an Instagram post featuring her look from the night.
"@augustgettyatelier I cannot thank you enough," she captioned the photo. "For loving my body and creating these custom looks for me for such a special week. You are the change the fashion world needs. Love you."
The designer also shared Rexha's look for the night, adding a supportive caption and a call to action to other designers.
"Thank you for trusting us to be a part of your journey, forever grateful," Getty wrote. "Let this be a start for designers to wake up and realize every woman’s body is beautiful."
In Rexha's Instagram video last month, she described her disappointment in being body shamed.
"So I finally get nominated at the Grammys and it's, like, the coolest thing ever," she said in the clip, which now has over 1 million views. "And a lot of times, artists will go and talk to designers and they'll make them custom dresses to walk the red carpet, right?"
"I had my team hit [up] a lot of designers, and a lot of them do not want to dress me because I'm too big. Literally, like, I'm too big," she continued.
"If a size 6/8 is too big then... I dunno what to tell you. Then I don't wanna wear your f---ing dresses!" she added. "Cause that's crazy! 'Cause you're saying that all the women in the world that are a size eight and up are not beautiful, and they cannot wear your dresses!"
Several celebrities and designers reached out to offer support to Rexha and thanked her for sharing the story in the comments of her post.
"F------ preach!!!" Demi Lovato commented. "Love this and you for speaking your mind and using your voice!!!"
Thousands of fans, Tyra Banks, the band Icona Pop, singer Ne-Yo, Adam Lambert and plus-size models Tess Holliday and Denise Bidot also commented supportive messages on her post.
