"Killers of the Flower Moon" will be in theaters on Oct. 6.
The official teaser trailer for the film, "Killers of the Flower Moon" is here.
The upcoming Martin Scorsese-drama, which is based on David Grann's bestselling book of the same name, stars a handful of Academy Award winners, including Leonardo DiCaprio, Robert De Niro and Brendan Fraser.
"Killers of the Flower Moon" is set in 1920s Oklahoma and is based on the real-life serial murder of members of the oil-wealthy Osage Nation, a Native American tribe in Oklahoma, and told through the romance of characters Ernest Burkhart and Mollie Kyle, according to a synopsis of the film.
DiCaprio will play Ernest while Lily Gladstone will play Mollie.
In the teaser, DiCaprio reads from a book on the Osage and how they faced persecution on their own land by settlers.
"Greed is an animal that hungers for blood," a title card reads, as the intensity ratchets up.
As he reads, flashes of other characters come together for one group shot at the teaser's climax.
"Can you find the wolves in this picture?" DiCaprio repeats.
Scorsese wrote the screenplay for his upcoming Apple Studios film with Eric Roth. The film also stars Jesse Plemons, Tantoo Cardinal, Cara Jade Myers, JaNae Collins and Jillian Dion.
"Killers of the Flower Moon" releases in select theaters on Oct. 6 and receives a wide release on Oct. 20 prior to it becoming available to stream on Apple TV+.
