Need a tissue?

You can make your own "tissue box" using a Mason jar!

This DIY makes for a perfect housewarming gift or a cute decoration for your own home.

Supplies

  • Mason jar
  • Paint
  • Paint brush
  • Tissues
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Writing utensil
  • Felt

1. Paint the Mason jar

Make sure the Mason jar is clean and cover the outside with paint.

Tip: You may need a few coats to cover the jar completely.

2. Cut the felt

Use the lid from the mason jar to trace a circle onto the felt.

Carefully cut out the circle so it is the same size as the lid.

Fold the felt in half and cut a slit into the felt.

Repeat going the other way to create an "X" pattern in the felt.

3. Glue the felt onto the lid

Place the glue around the edges of the mason jar lid.

Then, place the felt onto the glue.

4. Put tissues in the jar

Wait until the Mason jar is completely dry and insert your rolled tissues into the top.

Bonus: Personalize your tissue jar by painting on sayings or adding stickers.

5. Screw on the lid

Screw the lid with the felt onto the top of the Mason jar.

Pull the tissues through the top for the perfect tissue box.
