Sha’Carri Richardson shows off fresh new platinum blonde and blue hair ahead of race

Sha'Carri Richardson snagged attention this summer after she won the women's 100-meter final during the U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials in fierce style.
Now, the track star is back with a bright, brand-new platinum blonde hairstyle that was revealed on Instagram this week.
In a video, Richardson is seen initially sitting in a salon chair with her natural deep brown hair. Then she's seen with long, platinum blonde and blue ombre wavy strands.
She also switched into a blue Nike tank and matching briefs.
"August 21 and I'm not playing nice," she captioned the clip.
Since posting, Richardson's video has received over 1 million views, with lots of fans praising her.
The track athlete's new look was made possible thanks to hair stylist Brianna Renee, who goes by The Lace Tamer on Instagram.
The Orlando-based stylist posted Richardson's final look along with the caption "Young Wils & Freee" where she also received lots of praise with fans making comments such as "beautiful" and "love."
Known for her fierce style, Richardson has worn cherry and fiery red strands.
She also is usually sporting a hard-to-miss manicure with long nails and unique designs.
Richardson was disqualified from this year's Olympics after it was announced that she tested positive for THC, a chemical found in marijuana.
