Dad and Daughter Pose for Ghostly Photo Shoots Every Halloween
“Everything spooky she loves,” Julie Peveto said of her daughter.
— -- This frightful Halloween photo shoot is an annual family endeavor.
For three years, mom Julie Peveto has photographed her husband and daughter in spine-chilling settings and costumes.
"It’s my husband’s favorite holiday," Peveto, of Dallas, told ABC News.
And as for her daughter? "Everything spooky she loves," Peveto added.
The first year, the father-daughter duo dressed up in a Day of the Dead theme.
The second year they channeled their inner vampires.
This year’s photos were shot in an old, ominous cemetery.
"They’re really good at modeling the faces of the sort of dead-eyed Halloween people," Peveto said of her macabre family members.
They also apply make-up to enhance the effect.
She said they look for inspiration ideas online and in real life.
"This year I was at an estate sale and there was a vintage little girl’s dress or gown that was kind of ripped up," Peveto said. "I thought this would make a really good ghost costume."
But sometimes they need a little something extra.
"I ripped it up even more and I started looking on Pinterest for ideas of makeup and costumes," she said. "I’d seen a picture of a ghost family where the guy was in a suit that looked really powdery and gray. We got a suit at the thrift store and I started ripping it with scissors and got some white spray paint and I thought it would make it even more powdery with flour and threw it on the coat."
Needless to say, the outcome was quite chilling.
The family’s haunting photos are a sight, for those who dare.
