Floyd Mayweather latest celebrity hit by string of burglaries in Beverly Hills

The boxing champion was not home at the time of the robbery.

— -- Floyd Mayweather's Beverly Hills home is the latest to be hit in a recent string of celebrity robberies in the Los Angeles area.

The Beverly Hills Police Department is actively investigating a burglary at at the boxing champion's residence, it said in a statement. The robbery, reported on Wednesday, occurred on or after Nov. 21, police said.

Items reportedly stolen from the home include luggage, sunglasses and accessories, police said. Mayweather was not home at the time of the break-in.

The Los Angeles-area homes of several celebrities have been robbed in the past year, including Hilary Duff, A$AP Rocky, Emmy Rossum, Scott Disick, Drake, Kendall Jenner, Yasiel Puig and Jaime Pressly, according to ABC station KABC.

In May, the Los Angeles Police Department was looking into whether the new rash of celebrity burglaries were related, the Los Angeles Times reported.
