— -- Donald Sterling's legal fight with the NBA over the $2 billion sale of the LA Clippers has ended after both sides settled the dispute.

The Los Angeles Times, citing Sterling's attorney Bobby Samini, first reported the agreement.

"Donald is pleased with the outcome and is looking forward to focusing on future endeavors," Samini wrote in an email to the Los Angeles Times.

Sterling was banned for life by the NBA in 2014 in response to racist comments the league said? he made in a recorded conversation.?

A federal judge dismissed Sterling's lawsuit in March, in which the former Clippers owner alleged that the NBA conspired to remove him as owner of the Clippers.

Among those Sterling cited in his lawsuit included the NBA, commissioner Adam Silver, former commissioner David Stern, Sterling's wife and two doctors who found the former owner to be mentally incapable of serving on the family trust that controlled the team.

Sterling appealed the judge's March ruling but missed a key filing deadline last month.

Samini filed a voluntary motion on Friday to dismiss the lawsuit. Details of the agreement were not available.
