Portraits of Victims of Gun Violence

Kathy Shorr's, "SHOT" is a photography series documenting people across the US affected by gun violence. The project aims to capture 100 people from a range of ethnic, political and socio-economic backgrounds who were injured in both high and low profile situations. Pictured: Karina: Shot as a 16 year old while standing outside of her high school talking with some friends. A car drove by the group and someone fired one shot. Karina was hit in the back as the unintentional victim of a gang retaliation. Aurora, Colorado 2010
