Chip and Joanna Gaines were guests at the White House Wednesday night for a state dinner hosted by President Joe Biden to honor South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol.

The couple, best known for their HGTV series "Fixer Upper" and now as heads of Magnolia Network, were dressed in a black tuxedo and a black dress, respectively, for the evening's festivities.

"What an honor it was to be a part of tonight's State Dinner to celebrate the 70 year alliance between the United States of America and my mother's home country of South Korea," Joanna Gaines shared on Instagram alongside a slideshow of photos of her and her husband from the event.

"Coming off the heels of our incredible trip to Seoul, this evening was another reminder of just how proud I am to be a Korean American," she added.

Also in attendance were first lady Jill Biden and South Korean first lady Kim Keon Hee.

The Gaineses were seated at the head table alongside fellow guests Angelina Jolie and her son Maddox Jolie-Pitt, gold medal snowboarder Chloe Kim and former professional baseball player Chan Ho Park, among others.

Joanna Gaines opened up about her family's trip to South Korea earlier this month in a recent Instagram post, saying the trip "felt like coming home" in a lot of ways.

"Somehow, connecting with my mom's past made my own story feel more complete," she wrote at the time. "Feeling grateful for every moment this trip gave us."
