It's hot honey chicken summer at Shake Shack with a new spiced-up menu

As the spicy chicken sandwich trend continues, Shake Shack has created a hot and sweet new sandwich along with some cocktail-inspired drinks for summer.

Shake Shack culinary director, Mark Rosati told "Good Morning America" the new menu is "the epitome of a fun-loving summertime indulgence."

"The flavors and textures of our Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, the star of the menu, are sweet, spicy, sticky, crispy and perfectly balanced between the honey glaze and habanero mayo sauce," he said. "Combined with our cocktail-inspired summerades and new summer shakes, summertime never tasted so good."

The new marquee item, the Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich, is made with a honey-glazed crispy chicken breast topped with habanero mayo sauce and shredded lettuce on a toasted potato bun. The spin on the restaurant's Chick’n Shack, kicks it up a notch with a honey glaze made with shallots, vinegar, salt and pepper, and passion fruit.

Hot Honey Chicken: Honey-glazed crispy chicken breast topped with habanero mayo sauce and shredded lettuce on a toasted potato bun.

Hot Honey Bites: Crispy, whole white meat chicken bites dusted with Hot Honey seasoning, served with habanero mayo sauce.

Hot Honey Fries: Crispy crinkle cuts dusted with Hot Honey seasoning, served with habanero mayo sauce.

Lime Agave Margarita: Mocktail made with real lime juice stirred with agave nectar, orange, jalapeño, smoked salt and cane sugar.

Piña Punch: Mocktail made with real blackberry and caramelized pineapple stirred with fresh lemon juice, orange zest and agave nectar.

Watermelon Mint Mojito: Mocktail made with fresh watermelon and lime juices stirred with mint, orange, white tea, and cane sugar.

Cherry Pop Shake: Vanilla cola frozen custard hand spun with real Amarena cherry and popping candy, topped with whipped cream and cherry caramel candies.

Triple Chocolate Chip Shake: Chocolate frozen custard hand spun with chocolate chip cookies made with milk, dark, and semi-sweet Peruvian chocolate, topped with whipped cream and chocolate chips.
