Excerpt: 'A Journal for Jordan'

In 2005, 1st Sgt. Charles Monroe King was on combat in Iraq's notorious Triangle of Death when his fiance, Dana Canedy, gave birth to their son, Jordan. Aware of the risks of going to war and what it could mean for his family, King began to keep a journal, so that his son would know his father if something happened to King.
