'Price Is Right' Reveals First Male Showcase Model - Rob Wilson
LOS ANGELES - Rob Wilson … come on down!
The Boston native beat out hundreds of other male models in an online competition to become the first male showcase model in the 40-year history of "The Price Is Right."
Viewers selected Wilson from the three finalists, who also included men named Clint Brink and Nick Denbeigh.
The announcement was made on today's show.
Wilson will begin his week-long gig alongside the familiar female beauties on Oct. 15.
Hundreds of hopefuls showed up at an open call in Los Angeles when the contest was announced in August. They had the opportunity to strut their stuff and perform tasks that included writing and singing the original lyrics to "The Price Is Right" theme music.
The contest was chronicled in a five-part Web series and streamed on the show's website.
