New 'Lion King' live-action trailer will give you chills
The official trailer was released on Wednesday.
With just 100 days till its premiere, the trailer for Disney's upcoming live-action remake of "The Lion King" is here.
The Jon Favreau-directed film features an all-star cast of Donald Glover as Simba, Beyoncé Knowles-Carter as Nala, Seth Rogen as Pumbaa, James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar and Billy Eichner as Timon.
"Life's not fair, is it my little friend? While some are born to feast, others spend their lives in the dark begging for scraps," Ejiofor, as Scar, says in the trailer.
"Everything you see exists together in a delicate balance," he adds. "While others search for what they can take, a true king searches for what he can give."
The trailer also features a voiceover from the inimitable Earl Jones as Mufasa, who also voiced the character in the 1994 classic. "You must take your place in the circle of life," he says.
Animated favorites including Simba, Nala, Mufasa and more are all featured in the trailer, along with a scene featuring Timon and Pumbaa singing together. Check it out:
