Pete Davidson won't be going to space on Blue Origin flight after all
Davidson is "no longer able to join" the flight after the date shifted.
Pete Davidson won't be blasting off to space this month after all.
Jeff Bezos' space exploration company Blue Origin tweeted Thursday that the 20th flight of its New Shepard rocket will now be blasting off on Tuesday, March 29, and "Pete Davidson is no longer able to join the NS-20 crew on this mission."
The company added, "We will announce the sixth crew member in the coming days."
The stand-up comic, "Saturday Night Live" cast member and "King of Staten Island" star was supposed to be aboard the space exploration company's fourth human flight when it was originally scheduled for March 23.
Those remaining on Blue Origin's NS-20 flight are Marty Allen, Marc and Sharon Hagle, Jim Kitchen and Dr. George Nield.
Previous notable figures to go to space include Amazon founder and former CEO Jeff Bezos, founder and owner of Blue Origin, "Star Trek" actor William Shatner and "Good Morning America" co-anchor Michael Strahan.
