South Korea had early success controlling the spread of COVID-19. The country went ahead with reopening schools in May, beginning with high school seniors, despite a spike in coronavirus case numbers. Vietnam took strong measures early on in January and February against the spread of COVID-19. It has reported just a few hundred COVID-19 cases and no deaths.
