AT&T says it learned of an illegal download of data back in April and investigated the hackers theft of call records and texts from nearly all of their 90 million customers from May to Oct. 2022.

Starting in August, AT&T is increasing their rates for the unlimited lines while offering more high-speed and hotspot data.

Information for some 73 million current and former AT&T customers was recently posted on the dark web in a data breach, the company confirmed.

The telecom giant says over 70 million current and former AT&T customers from 2019 or earlier had their personal information leaked onto the dark web.

Federal agencies are now urgently investigating to determine whether the AT&T outages are the result of a cyberattack, hack or something else.

According to outage tracking site Downdetector, more than 70,000 customers have reported being impacted.
