7 KPop Songs You Will Love to Hate

By CONZ PRETI

By now, you probably don't need to hear all of Psy's 'Gangnam Style' to feel compelled – even if unwillingly -- to sing along or do the horsy dance. It's that song's grip on our brains that helped Psy, or Park Jea-Sang, a South Korean singer, take out Justin Bieber's 'Baby' as the most viewed video on YouTube. 'Gangnam Style, which was uploaded to the video site on July 15, has more than 850 million views, with nine million views added every day, according to Social Bakers.

And for those of you who can still stand to hear "ehh sexy lady," one more time, you might be interested to learn that Psy's little ditty has had another soon-to-be obvious effect: It's opened the door into the Western market for other K-Pop artists.

What exactly is K-pop? Korean pop music that's known for mixing dance, electronic, electropop, hip-hop, rock and R&B all into one nice glob. Sounds impressive, right? Add to that a few key ingredients like the occasional English lyric, coordinated dance moves, weird video settings, and it's not hard to see why people can't help but stare on YouTube.

So, if you're curious about the next K-Pop sensation that you'll likely love (or hate), here are seven worth watching. And we warn you, the dance moves are, uh, elaborate.

1. BIGBANG – Fantastic Baby

2. miss A – Breathe

3. Girls Generation – Twinkle

4. SISTAR – Alone

5. Wonder Girls – Like This

6. G.NA – 2HOT

7. SHINee – Sherlock

BONUS: Girl's Generation – Paparazzi
