Diamond Jubilee Years of Victoria and Elizabeth II: Then and Now

"The Queen's London: A Pictorial and Descriptive Record of the Great Metropolis" was published in 1896 by Cassel & Co. The collection of images was commissioned to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Victoria. Now, 116 years later, in preparation for Queen Elizabeth II's Diamond Jubilee, Jon Curry and Hugo Simms bring this story up to date with 180 images taken from the same vantage points. In their new book, "The Queens' London," images are paired to give the reader a fascinating comparison between the London as it was then and presently.
