Tornado Aftermath in Joplin, Missouri: Interactive Map

A monster tornado tore through the Midwestern states over the weekend and left the town of Joplin, Mo., in ruins. It may have been the single deadliest tornado in 60 years.

The tornado blasted a four-mile-wide path through Joplin, reducing buildings to rubble and cars to shredded metal. Rescue workers continued to search for survivors.
