Ricki Lake is giving it her all in rehearsals for the new season of “ Dancing With the Stars,” and she has the bruise to prove it.

The former talk-show host and actress, 42, was injured in rehearsals with professional partner Derek Hough and tweeted a photo of the big bruise on her shin Thursday afternoon.

An ambulance was reportedly called to the studio, but Lake assured her Twitter followers that she was not badly hurt. “Not sure how my bruise turned into a medic showing up? I’m fine!! ,” she later tweeted.

The former “Hairspray” star, who has long struggled with her weight, has kept fans apprised of her every move in rehearsals, tweeting photos with Hough and other cast members and revealing that she has already lost 5 inches on her waist.

Lake is determined to impress judges and delight fans on the season premiere of “DWTS” Monday, Sept. 19 at 8/7c.

“This is a huge challenge, a huge undertaking,” she said in an interview on “Good Morning America” when the cast was announced last month. “I’m going to give it my all and I did not come to be second.”
