Billboard reports that Lionel Richie's  "Tuskegee" album has hit number one on the Billboard 200 chart,  beating out Adele's "21? and knocking out Nicki Minaj's "Pink Friday."  The former Comodore's country collaboration album revisits some of his greatest hits with help from Willie Nelson ("Easy Like Sunday Morning), Kenny Chesney ("My Love") , Rascal Flatts ("Dancing on the Ceiling")  and Shania Twain ("Endless Love").

This is Richie's third Number 1 album  and his first since 1986's "Dancing on the Ceiling."    Sales for "Tuskegee" surged after "Lionel Richie &  Friends in Concert" aired on CBS April 13 th.

With the  new hit record and a net worth said to be in the hundreds of millions,  Richie probably won't be staying up all night long worrying about his unpaid tax bill of just over a million bucks. TMZ.com reported the IRS has filed a lien of $1.1 million - $1,130,609.11 to be exact - against the singer. There's no word yet on the alleged matter from Richie's reps.
