Not Michael McKean!

The beloved comic actor was hit by a car in Manhattan on Tuesday and admitted to a hospital in critical condition. He has since stabilized, his rep told E! News, and is recovering from a broken leg, cuts, and bruises.

McKean was walking through the Upper West Side of New York City on Tuesday afternoon when he was hit. His wife, actress Annette O'Toole, is flying in from Los Angeles to be with him, according to Us Weekly.

Hollywood notables are tweeting their best to the actor. "Community" star Joel McHale wrote, "Dear @ MJMcKean, I heard the car lost. Good. So sorry about your accident. Get better quickly big guy."

The 64-year-old actor memorably starred in " Laverne & Shirley," "This Is Spinal Tap," and "Best in Show." His many recent TV credits include appearances on "Saturday Night Live," where he was a cast member during the '90s, "Curb Your Enthusiasm," "Happy Endings," and "Homeland."
