Elton John Introduces New Baby Boy, Elijah Joseph Daniel
Say hello to Elton John's newest tiny dancer.
Elton John and David Furnish shared photos of their new baby boy, Elijah Joseph Daniel Furnish-John, born Jan. 11 through a surrogate.
Their first son, Zachary Jackson Levon, was born to the same surrogate two years ago. Just as with Zachary, John and Furnish were in the delivery room when Elijah was born.
"We tried to create a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere," John told People. "We were excited at the prospect of Elijah's birth as we were at the prospect of Zachary's - but much less nervous."
John and Furnish, who said they felt more comfortable with their parenting skills this time around, plan to be open with their sons about their births. The couple also used the same egg donor for their sons.

"We kept a scrapbook for Zachary with all his scans, emails with the surrogate and key moments from the surrogacy, and we are doing the same for Elijah," Furnish said. "We want the boys to understand the spirit and love that was at the heart of the process."
John, Furnish and their sons will spend the next few months in Los Angeles before returning to their home in Windsor, England.
"All we hope is that Zachary and Elijah are healthy and happy," Furnish said. "They will always be able to rely on us for total love and support, and we hope they grow up to live their own lives and be who they want to be, not who we want them to be."
