The line men always tell women is that they're prettier when they have no makeup on. Sofia Vergara, 41, will hear none of that.

In the latest edition of Harper's Bazaar, the "Modern Family" beauty said hair and makeup are everyday staples that should never be skipped.

"I shower, do hair and makeup. For me, it's like shaving. I don't believe in a natural look," she told the magazine for its August cover story.

Vergara said only one woman over the age of 19 is exempt when it comes to a daily beauty regimen - Gisele Bundchen.

"Most of my girlfriends are very good with it because they're Latin, but some of the Americans, I give them lipstick like, 'Put it on!'" she added.

Maybe Vergara thinks all the primping is necessary to keep her very attractive fiance Nick Loeb interested.

"He's really handsome. He's six foot four, and he has blue eyes and a lot of black hair. … Or it used to be black. Now it's got a lot of white in it," she said.
