Life is good for Novak Djokovic. He's the No. 1 tennis player in the world, he won the Australian Open this year and now he's engaged!

The tennis heartthrob, 26, posted on Instagram yesterday a picture of him and new fiancee Jelena Ristic kissing alongside the caption, "We're ENGAGED!!! Getting used to introducing Jelena as my fiancé and future wife. Couldn't be happier."

He followed up that post with one on Twitter thanking everyone for the "wonderful wishes."

The cutest part of the engagement is that the couple first met in high school before he was the world's top tennis pro and have been together ever since - eight years in all.

And Ristic is always there for him through the ups and downs - even his big losses. Three months ago, Djokovic posted another photo of the two, this time playing at the beach, saying "After a disappointing French Open campaign, it's nice to just clear my head and relax with family and friends. Jelena refuses to get thrown into the cold water quietly."

Ristic is a former model and currently runs her new fiance's Novak Djokovic Foundation, which aims to help children in Serbia.
