Fans can't stop talking about Miley Cyrus, and while critics have snubbed the singer's tongue-wagging antics, pop legend Britney Spears thinks she's "brilliant." In a radio interview with London's 95-106 Capital FM , the 31-year-old singer dished on her love of all things Miley.

"I'm a huge fan of hers," Spears told Capital FM host Max . "I think she's brilliant right now."

Both Spears and Cyrus are infamous for their controversial public personas, but the similarities do not end there. Along with their ballsy images, the Southern belles share talent manager Larry Rudolph.

"My mom and her mom know each other," Spears revealed. "She is from the South. She's a girl's girl and she gets the whole Southern thing. Also my manager is her manager, and it's just really worked out."

In spite of the intense media scrutiny of Cyrus, Spears shows she is not shy about lending her support to the "Bangerz" vocalist and apparently the feeling is mutual. During the MTV documentary special, "Miley: The Movement, " Cyrus expressed a similar appreciation for the music icon.

"The way that I am about Britney, that's the way a lot of people are about me," Cyrus said. "She was my first record. I was a lot of people's first album. First idol. I'll be a diehard fan for Britney, always."

The pair recently teamed up for a highly anticipated collaboration for Cyrus' fourth studio album, "Bangerz." On the eclectic dance track titled "SMS (Bangerz)," the 20-year-old singer displays her rapping chops alongside Spears iconic vocals. In the interview, the elder pop princess admitted she is flattered by Cyrus' praise.

"She has so much energy and she's on fire," Spears said of the "Wrecking Ball" singer. "For her to even say anything about me is just really cool."
