'The Voice' Recap: Cee Lo Loses Final Artist
Cee Lo Green has run out of artists to coach on "The Voice." His lone remaining contestant, teenager Caroline Pennell, was one of two artists eliminated from the NBC competition on Tuesday night's results show.
The other artist sent home was Ray Boudreaux, coached by Blake Shelton. Ray and Caroline had fallen into the bottom three with Team Christina Aguilera's Matthew Schuler, who advanced thanks to the Twitter-voted "instant save."
All three of Adam Levine's artists - Will Champlin, James Wolpert and Tessanne Chin - moved on. Blake has two artists remaining on his team, Ray Boudreaux and Cole Vosbury. Christina also has two artists still in the game, Matthew Schuler and Jacquie Lee.
The top eight performed twice during Tuesday night's one-hour program. They sang the hymn "Will the Circle Be Unbroken?" and later delivered a mashup of the OneRepublic songs "Apologize" and "All The Right Moves." OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder was a mentor for Adam's team earlier this season.
In addition, James, Matthew and Will joined Ellie Goulding for a live rendition of her hit "Burn." And Cee Lo teamed up with fellow Goodie Mob member Big Gipp for their group's song "Amy."
The six remaining artists will be back to perform for viewers' votes next Monday night at 8 p.m. ET on NBC.
